Roadtripping through Portugal was one of my favorite travel experiences, mostly because I had no expectations from that country. I also spent a whole week in Lisbon, walking alone through tiny side-streets, making friends with the waiter of a vegetarian restaurant, speaking in broken Portuguese and hand gestures.
There is something amazing about being on a continent for the first time, and seeing things that are so different from our everyday experiences. I spent ten days in Cairo, and I was so fascinated by everything, I could not make a step without taking a picture.
Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Iguazu. I listened to a lot of the Postal Service on that trip. Especially Brand New Colony.
