About the work

photography is my hobby; I’ve been into cameras since I was a kid. music inspires me a lot.

equipment: I am in love with my Canon AL-1 QF. My mom passed it on to me and it has been my partner in crime (and trip companion) since 2003. I have an 80-200mm lens for it, which I rarely use. A couple of years ago, I decided to (partly) go semi-pro digital with a Canon 20D. (I also had a point-and-shoot Olympus which witnessed a lot of crazy adventures, until it died in Portugal..) I mostly shoot with a Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II and a Canon EF 85mm f1.2 L II USM (just got this lens last year, and I love it). I also have a Fisheye Lomo (used only very rarely), a Смена 8M bought in the 70’s in Prague which needs to get fixed, and a couple of more old school ones that I haven’t had time to try yet since I salvaged them from my grandma’s.
also; I am dying to work with medium format.

rule of thumb: I almost never edit my photos (mainly I can’t be bothered, partly because I’m a purist), and most of my live photography is shot in fully manual mode, which makes it a little difficult, but also forces me to focus 150% to get the exact result I want. Yes, I’m the photographer in the photopit usually fiddling with her settings; deal with it.
